14 Fall Wellness Rituals You Need In Your Life

Rituals and rhythms are great ways to get anchored down into something. We often crave a flow of consistency and seek it in ways we may not even notice. I find solace in praying before my feet hit the ground, reaching for water every morning with the promise of splashing cold water on my face followed by collagen eye pads under my eyes. Before heading downstairs, I spend a few minutes stretching my body getting blood flowing and waking up my digestive system. My kids eagerly wait for me to announce the plan for the day so of course the first thing on the to do list is stepping outside on our porch to take a deep breathe of crisp, Fall air. When you romanticize your rituals and rhythms, it’s a thing of wonder so much so that even little ones can appreciate them.

Fall is the start of a season that I feel strongly drawn to that makes it nostalgic Even before then to be honest, my birthday at the end of august marks the turn of a season for me where we feel cooler air, cast our eyes on earlier sunsets, and dwelling in the pull of slowing down. Fall calls for intention and protection to begin the shift into major transitions and establishing some wonderful rhythms.

Here are some of my suggested riturals for optimal women’s health no matter your fertility season:

  1. Prayer and water first thing in the morning.

  2. Water with minerals upon rising.

  3. Stretching or low-cortisol movement in morning.

  4. Catch morning sun (poke your head outside for a few minutes or sit outside if you have the time)

  5. Eat within the 30 minutes of waking a protein friendly meal or drink

  6. Create a gratitude journal

  7. Choose times to do diaphragmatic breathing

  8. Daily walks

  9. Dandelion tea in the evenings

  10. Read before bed

  11. Chart your cycle

  12. Make a family game night

  13. Shut of electronics an hour before sleep

  14. Look at your planner the night before the next day
